I had a good time at Bon Odori last weekend, just that I didn't have the time to update right away because I spent the remaining hours slogging and rushing my assignment only to find out that we'll pass it up next week. OH WELL! At least I'm done, so I've got one less worry on my mind. For the short moment.

Bon Odori was good– good food and good company. Except for the dance part, which reminded me why I never participated in dancing last year because the crowd gets rowdier by the year. -_- People, don't be assholes have some respect for another person's culture okay?! Augh.

I spent my afternoon at axtar's place this afternoon and we both conclude that Cao Pi has one of the most awesome pick up lines on a battlefield. Like when he meets Zhen Ji, he says this after telling her that it is better to side with the Wei:

It was also amusing to play as the 2nd player and use Cao Pi, so you actually get to see two Cao Pis running around in the first stage for Zhen Ji's story. XD

This morning was really one in a million. A really interesting way to start the month too.

enigmatic_wind came over to do her airbrush work so I was up early, and shortly after she came, I heard meow-ing noises. Not from my neighbour's houses, but right in my porch. I was wondering WTFWTFWTF because if there was a kitten on the loose, it would be dead because of my dog. I was doubting my sanity and if I was hearing things but soon enough, my dog began sniffing around the front portion of my brother's car but we both couldn't see anything. (I wasn't the only one who heard its meows though, FI did too)

Later on when I woke my brother up to open up his car bonnet and check; the both of us and my mom went WTF immediately.

I went ahead and bought Samurai Warriors 2 Xtreme Legends, Sengoku Basara 2 Heroes and Warriors Orochi 2: Maou Sairin (goodbye money T_T). 8DDD YAY FOR MUSOU AND BEAT 'EM UP GAMES, BECAUSE I NEED THEM BADLY. But first I want to play DW5 Xtreme Legends (which I already have). It'll take me awhile to finish all of the above, even if I want to play all their prequel titles badly as well.

{EDIT} NOES apparently DW5: Xtreme Legends and SW2: Xtreme Legends requires you to have the original game or else you can't fully enjoy it (like in DW5XL, you cannot utilise the Musou or Free Mode unless you have the original save file). T_____T *claws at iyori for the games*

Yesterday was an epic day. Let's break it down into various times of the day, shall we?

Morning:
- God is giving me a sign to wake up early at 7am by making sapphire_1010 crash at my house at 8:15am. I had a good time showing her Rose of Versailles and looping that stupid Tuxedo Kamen video I linked two days ago.
- Made it my day's goal to GET OUT OF THE SECOND HOME sob in SMTImagine with ultra_butterfly and sapphire_1010 sitting next to me. A busy server coupled with a SUCKY local connection equals a really SUCKY GAMING EXPERIENCE. Like getting disconnected just before you reach the next stage. And restarting over. AGAIN. For three times. Aughhhh! I now have to go and get myself a Pixie, OTL.
- I will have problems playing SMTImagine with the AMOUNT of stringed kanji in it. HALP ;A;

Afternoon/Evening:
- My worst fears had come true, I had to see a dermatologist because my mouth infection wouldn't get any better, after 1 1/2 months. Turns out that I've got contact dermatitis! Or eczema! sigh. What made matters worse was that I went to do groceries with my parents right after that and went off into a couple of shops by myself, and I had gotten funny looks from some of the store staff and customers. Well, that really busted my confidence and I can't look at anyone in the eye anymore (I DO look like The Joker from The Dark Knight right now, or Kusuriuri who applied the wrong brand of lipstick and got a mouth infection). I'm so embarrassed about my skin condition (both face AND mouth), I should cosplay as Faust from GGX permanently. Everyone should be spared from my hideous face. :||

Night:
- Met up with dearest carneaglariel after quite awhile, and had a good chat! AND I GOT THE BIGGEST SHOCK OF MY LIFE WHEN I SAW MY PRETTY PLAY-ASIA BOX SITTING IN HER HOUSE.

I just came back from watching the Cirque Balagan Extravaganza at KLCC's Plenary Hall. I didn't know that we actually had halls like that. D: No doubt that it's smaller than Singapore's Esplanade Theatre (it was the first theatre I've actually been into) and the Opera House, but IMHO it's better than nothing. And I'm glad that we actually have threatre halls here!

It feels good to sit pretty near the stage! I truly loved all of the performances that they put on show. The costumes were dazzling, and one of my favourite performers has definitely got to be the red-haired girl who's a goddess with hula hoops and the other lady with an umbrella skirt and the red fan. She was so elegant! And the acrobats, oh yes. For the first performance, there was a male acrobat with an AWESOME physique. He has like... the perfect muscle anatomy, I shit you not and all the male performers for this cirque have that body physique. *_* The music was also really nice, and this is the first time I've bought the soundtrack on the spot for a theatrical performance.

After the show ended (pity that it was only 1 1/2 hours long), I headed off to the book fair and got Stephenie Meyers' books and finally my own copy of HP7.

I forgot to post this. Yesterday, I saw this really huge turtle plushie (it's just a bigger version of the one I have, but the bigger version is even softer and nicer to hug lol) in some Viva that was parked next to our car. Of course it'd be stupid to smash the window and take it, but it was so so SO CUTE. I have a big weakness for really big and cute plushie animals, I really do. OTL

My turn to pimp out my site! I got off my lazy arse and updated it, and did some housekeeping so it's more organized now. Um anyways, following in nemissa's footsteps... ANYONE UP FOR A LINK EXCHANGE? 8DDDD

One highlight of a rather slow-moving day was definitely rewatching The Nightmare Before Christmas at Jac'Kee's house. After that, we watched something even better— something which had me in disbelief the whole time. Y'see, the DVD which yuncyn bought had two of Tim Burton's really old movies in there and we watched 'Frankenweenie'.

It was just so... so. OMG badly clichéd. I WASTED 23 MINUTES OF MY LIFE WATCHING IT. OTL

But what a better way to end the day by laughing it off with your closest friends, and having an awesome dinner with your family before that. <3

I forgot what I wanted to rant about Honey and Clover Season 2. ORZ But anyway! I'm glad Hagu had more depth in the second season, I really admire her now. For someone so small in size but to have the willpower and inner strength of a giant... I wish I was like her. And Morita too. His past broke my heart ;_; My love for Mayama drops, while it soars for Yamada and Nomiya and I hope that Yamada will just pick Nomiya for good.

I LOVE NOMIYA T___________T Episodes 3 and 5 were my most favourite in this entire season. <3 I don't know how many times I've looped episode 3 today already. 8D;;

Honey and Clover is a nice series to watch! :)
(YES, I *KNOW* at least ONE OF YOUUUUUUUU, YOU KNOW KNOW WHO YOU PROBABLY ARE, would want to strangle me the next moment you see me because you took two years to get me into this. But I'm sure everyone knows that I get into things at my own pace, hmm? ;D)

One part that cracked me up so far was the episode where Morita abused Hagu's paints and made a very 'artsy' Twister for Takemoto's birthday. It's kind of scary when you can recognise the colours immediately when the characters are screaming out colour names like "CARMINE RED! PALE VIOLET! PRUSSIAN BLUE! NO NO THAT'S PERMANENT GREEN, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO GO FOR MOSS GREEN!" 8DDDD;; lol art students So far I love the main cast, except for Hagu... still don't really like her orz.

Watching Honey and Clover makes me realise how much my life is akin to theirs in certain ways (minus the bit where I'm living on my own)— and when my third year in college starts, it's even more like theirs. Having friends who's graduated and ourselves who're going to be in our final year... I'm sure there will be some changes in the coming term, but now I really want to treasure my time in this place (despite moments where I just feel that college is a killer).

Looking back on my dinner with raincloud_sama, carneaglariel, axtar and yuncyn, I can't but agree when Takemoto said this line in episode 9:

"Like snapping the shutter of a camera, wishing to imprint this moment somewhere in my heart."

Someday, sooner or later, everyone of us will walk on seperate paths in our lives. But I hope that we'll have moments again like this, and I'm glad for all the moments of my life that I've been able to spend with everyone I know until now. XD I should probably go and watch episode 10 after this and turn in for the night; and do my best tomorrow and every day that comes after that!

Something I saw that was on the fridge in my grandparents' place, and I want to share it with everyone I know. It's not exactly the same one that was stuck on the fridge (because that one made me tear), but the message conveyed is still the same.

Most of it is true, especially in this day and age. Life is fleeting and transient, no one knows what tomorrow holds. This makes me want to live in the moment and present even more, and know that I love all of you very much, whether or not we're extremely close friends or just mere acquaintances.

Today was a pretty relaxing day... 'twas out with my parents in the afternoon and then spent the night with the gals. :) VOIR has new clothes and new shoes omfg and they have heels which I actually *like*! Yes, I'm quite picky when it comes to footwear (NO BLINGS PLZ)... and I don't own a pair of heels, hence why I want one lol. There were many designs which I liked as well, just that I wished that I was earning my own money and could more own than one lol. ;A;

Friday!
I managed to catch Music Station, after so long! AND NEWS WAS ON. They sang 'Taiyou no Namida', rose petal version and ohhhh man their live singing ain't that good and I'm sure they lip synched somewhere after the intro, but whatever. Just watching the boys made me love Taiyou no Namida all over again. ;A; SOMEONE KARAOKE THEIR SONGS WITH ME THE NEXT TIME, PLEAAAAAAASEEE

Yesterday!
Had fun at MV with the people who went out, though I think I didn't really interact with each and every one of you that much. It's good to see flowerchorus again, awww! And since Max mentioned it, yeah, Maiki kinda reminds me a little of how Graff looks like because of their cute faces + haircut lmao. ultra_butterfly also made us her almond tofu and it was GREAT :DD I adore sweet stuff, I really do.

I also managed to fulfill one of my quests today!



WE (ultra_butterfly, maiki, sapphire_1010 and I) ATE ANNIN TOFU AT A PROPER RESTAURANT TODAY T^T It was really good! Okay, I thought that chinese almond was BAD BAD BAD because I couldn't stand the smell and taste but I'm kind of fine with it now. It was served in chilled black tea... which was really great, because my throat is STILL sore and drinking it was like a relief to my poor throat (it's now back to being all painful).

Also, our group photo turned out rather blurry in my camera so I can't upload it, sorry guys!

I still feel kinda sore over my assignment but not to worry, it's a very strange love-hate relationship with that subject and with my own art (as usual). My confidence level isn't getting anywhere, hahaha and neither are my skills. :\ Will ganba with it though.

Today's gonna be another busy day for me, and thus I'll let this day end by curling up in bed and finishing YYH before I let my worries sink in when I wake up.

8DDDD The Suikoden book is REALLY thick, and it's almost as heavy as a regular textbook. It's packed with tons of information though, and I wish I could understand Japanese better so I can read everything in there (no furigana, I weep).

My hair is also now back to some darker shade (and it's red, but only visible under the sun so yeah! I'm happy as long as it's red) because my previous hair colour was washing out and evil roots were showing at the top of my head. :/

TOA also threw a big pile of shit up at the fan and it's all over the place now, so the next two weeks will be a gruelling hell to go through. -_- sethyhide, I WILL finish your commission by GACC, hopefully.

I would put up some art for the new year, but I've been out at carneaglariel's place for the New Year party yesterday and only came home this morning. 'Twas a whole lot of fun! It also feels good to wake up and have someone cook breakfast for you. >D *looks at silfa* After I came home, I didn't do much but watch some Saiunkoku and start on my assignments lol... and slept half of the afternoon away.

I have no resolutions as usual, but I'd like to remain in this state of being happy and not reprimanding myself over every single thing that happens. I don't know what this year will be like, but I will try my best to look forward and not run away or panic in the face of adversary.

Of course, there is no way I'd be able to make ALL of that in one year, given my usual financial situation (unless a miracle happens!). I really need to work out because three of those up there require awesome abs (I have blubber, woe!). I would also really love to cosplay as Suefumi, Benkei or any other Harutoki character but that will just be asking for my death |D;;. I will wait until Harutoki4 comes out and see if it catches my interest (..so far the new Chi no Suzaku is intruiging me).

This is also the last week of holiday, and so I shall spend it by marathon-ing Saiunkoku and Honey & Clover after I at least finish two more figures tonight. :D

Last post of the year. I'll just be watching this SUPER AWESOME sunset slowly go down and close the curtains on a year that was full of experiences. :)

Also, thank you for the presents (you know who you two are! ♥)... it was certainly very unexpected. *grins* And receiving greeting cards in the mail is one of the best things ever- thank you nemissa and fallofdark!

Eventhough I had a splitting headache throughout the afternoon, it was fun having lunch with my parents at Paddington's Pancakes and then dinner at night with axtar and carneaglariel. 8D We watched Gwendolyn and Oswald's story in Odin Sphere back at Jackee's house, and omfgosh they are my OTP of OS now! ;_; Along with Ingway/Mercedes. I really like Onyx too, because he sprouts the CHEESIEST AND STUPIDEST LINES EVER. I need to get my own copy of the game now, so I can just abuse Jackee's save file and watch every single ending and story... yes I'm horribly lazy to play it because I've already got P3 to finish. And I want to understand all the characters' backstories ASAP so we all can go ahead with Odin Sphere cosplay. ♥

Other points of note:
- I LOVE OSWALD'S VOICE IN JAPANESE. Bliss to the ears, really.
- And as for Ingway, I really love his English voice as well. SO DEEP. *_* I've never heard it in Japanese though...
- Gwendolyn and Oswald have serious father issues. =A=

As of late I've been listening to the Yoshida Kyoudai and really loving them (as you all know, I am a true sucker for traditional music; especially traditional Asian music), so here's my present to all of you!

I feel like the P3 hero for these past few days, because I've always been out of the house with a different group of friends so it's as if I'm levelling up my various Social Links. Or establishing new ones! It doesn't help that I come back really late at night too. XD; Just came back from randomly going to Starbucks with _kazeki_, ultra_butterfly (thanks for the ride!) and sapphire_1010. Mmmm I really LOVE their Christmas blends, and I only drink at Starbucks like... once a year. 8D;

Oh, and this time I'm really in need of some moolah to make my Iroha costume. I'm really afraid that I can't make it, and I don't want to drop out of the Beatmania team that we've been planning for so long for GACC in March 2008. I'm trying to raise at least about $200? Enough to cover my wig (usually one of the most expensive, because of currency conversion and the horrible SHIPPING PRICES ugh) and embroidery costs, at least.

So I'll be doing some super quick commissions thing since I am on break now. Anybody want to commission me? I'm doing pencil or ink commissions for these prices:

I hope it's not too expensive or anything, and the same rates apply locally as well. Anyway, it'll probably look something like this, but with no background. If anyone wants a coloured one or one with a complex background, well, you could always ask... the price will be a bit different because of difficulty and complexity though. :O LIKEWISE, if anyone wants me to draw some crazy FF12 shit, it'll be slightly different in price too because of the mad detailing. I can't stop listening to NewS' "Ai Nante". axtar let me listen to it earlier on at Jac'Kee's house, in which she then played it on the piano several times and I AM SEVERELY HOOKED. I'm not really into NewS yet, but I dare say that it's a really good song because it's been awhile since I've felt so moved by a song. Moved enough to set it on indefinite loop (the other two being KOTOKO's "agony" and Chiaki Ishikawa's "uninstall").

Also, college is seriously addling my brain. I can't think straight anymore, and also because it took me a very long time (15 minutes omg) to register what had just happened:

That, and I felt really happy when I found most of my elementary schoolmates in Facebook... or rather one of them messaged me and it went on from there. While most of them aren't in the country anymore, it's good to see how they are now and it felt really nostalgic. And I actually feel really quite grateful and glad that some remember me. ^^; This may sound rather silly, but I used to think that I wasn't really remembered throughout my schooling days because I was a rather quiet person who didn't seem to leave much of an impression. OTL

T^T Nothing new is happening except my recent addiction to Facebook, damn myself for succumbing to it lol besides the fact that I've got ideas for doujinshi now, and I hope that I'll be able to execute it within this super short span of time while juggling it with college work. I'm trying my best to not let stress get to me because my this time, it WOULD have been a little lesser but since our exploration week got taken away, work stress has just been escalating and I don't think it'll ever go away until this semester finishes. Yesterday was the Mid-Autumn Festival, and I had tons of fun (despite the insane workload that I have)! Got together with the usual bunch at my place, and even if everyone had to go back a bit early, we chatted a lot over dinner. Good times, good times. Right now I have to worry about my acrylic for tomorrow's class. I also envy those of you who can play La Corda 2 ~Encore~. The game looks so pika and prettyyyyy TAT

slay_x, THANK YOU for the Hiiro no Kakera games! They both work and they're SO SO SO SO SO PRETTY OMG but well it's Idea Factory after all. I just wish I have the time to be able to sit down and play it properly and get slayed by the difficult Japanese language again. T_T

As an addendum, I ask my flist to spare a bit of their time to read THIS. This girl needs help to raise money for her brain surgeries, but she doesn't have the medical help she needs due to not having an insurance (I don't know how the medical policy is like in the US). You can read more details over at her IJ. Basically all you need to do is to just download one tiny MegaUpload file (which has no virus; I checked) and it'll help her, so it seems. Sadly, Malaysia isn't one of the countries that qualify so if you're just not from here, do check it out and help her.
